Liverpool Bay - 11th May 2009
Great trip organised by Neil Sykes and Graham Sayce. We got out to the City of Brussels, with only a few hiccups but it is early season (one forgotten suit!) in excellant flat conditions. Helen was inaugurated into the Bay, well done to her for giving it a go and loving every minute of it. Its not as scary as some people would have you believe! Having blown out for saturday the sunday forecast was looking good. The windmills weren't moving at all, and the drive out was very pleasant. The water temperature was 10 degrees and the viz 2m, so not brilliant but getting better all the time and actually everyone had a good dive. Scallops, crabs, lobsters (berried) all show the environment is thriving, and there were even rumours that a porthole had been spotted half buried! Good day out.
