Baths and Clubhouse Reprieve
It has been anounced that Guinea Gap Baths is to be included in the Council's master budget, with additional planned refurbishment for the changing room areas provided by central government. This takes things well beyond the two year reprieve that was originally offered as a stop gap to placate those who objected so strongly to the published closures that were evident in the Council's Strategic Assset Review published last year. The news has been confirmed by the baths management. This means that this important facility and of course Merseyside Sub Aqua Club's own clubhouse is secure for the forseeable future.
