Famous Friends - Ian with BBC presenter Paul Rose at DIVE 2011

While down at the NEC for the DIVE 2011 show, Ian and the lads met up with Paul Rose, presenter of BBC Britain's Secret Seas. Ian is hoping to get him down to the club in 2012 to do an evening with Paul Rose and try to fund it through ticket sales. Hopefully Paul can share some great stories with us.

BSAC Photo Competition "Diver on Helicopter" Prize winning picture by Elaine White

Congratulations go to MSAC member Elaine White for achieving third prize in the BSAC Photographic Competition Diving Category. The Competition is run over the year with monthly 1st, 2nd and 3rd places going forward to final judging. Elaine was placed 1st back in May 2010 with overall 3rd place which is a great achievement for herself and for the club. She also gained 1st place in June and 1st and 3rd place in November monthly competition with entries in the BSAC Open Diving Catagory.

new engine 2011

Equipment Officer Jeff Jones proudly showing off the club's new Evinrude E-tec 175hp engine, which finally replaced our 11 year old Evinrude 175. It takes a huge amount of work to raise the funds to replace and maintain our equipment. Without the support of our members we could not hope to offer the kind of facilities we are all so proud of. Well done to all the people who put so much effort into making this the best diving club in the North West!
